Gérard Gabayen: Artist Resume

Artistic Course

Gerard Gabayen studied at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Dakar, Senegal, from 1996 to 1998. He decided not to pursue a diploma but to work instead in the studios of artists Claude Mari Bruce, Cool Djabang, Moussa Beidi and Papa Arko, from Ghana. Multicultural in his genes, with roots in Cape Verde, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Madagascar and Mali, Gerard dreamed to live and work abroad. He spent a little over a year in Abidjan but finally made the decision to continue creating in his homeland.
